Do you often find yourself in arguments?
Maybe it’s a colleague who hasn’t performed as expected. Perhaps one of your kids just isn’t putting their toys away. Even your partner not coming home from work at a reasonable hour or helping with domestic duties.
By using empathy, each of these situations can become an opportunity to grow the relationship, rather than damage it. You probably understand the power of empathy, but how exactly do you go about using it?
Rhubarb Food Co-op is delighted to host Luke Weatherstone from Owlsight for a 3-hour workshop on building a framework to approach these difficult conversations with empathy.
Luke has practised and studied extensively in Zen, Buddhism, Stoicism, Psychology, Verbal Judo and Nonviolent Communication. He takes the best of these systems to deliver a practical and simple model for you to apply in your home, office and community.
When: 10am – 1pm, Sunday, 10 September 2017
Where: Barrett House, 6 Barrett Place, Randwick
Cost: $10 ($8 for Rhubarb members)
This workshop is supported by Randwick City Council.
